ABC (Active Bean Club) Mark Making

Ellis who carried out our ABC (Active Bean Club) sessions from County Hall came to Nursery today to do a Mark Making session to Music.

This gave the children the opportunity to engage in mark making in a different way to what we usually do. The children carried out many different activities within this session it included exploring which hand was there more dominant hand.

This session included both gross and fine motor skills as we know for the children to be able to put a pencil to paper they need to be able to carry out their gross motor skills first, this included making large movements with their arms, copying body movements and much more. All of the children engaged very well with this session and we are excited to be having Ellis back to do a water play session to give us some more new ideas.
